📋 Before You Start
Ensure you have the following information ready to complete the setup smoothly:
Business Details: Your legal business name and Tax Identification Number (e.g., EIN, VAT, GST, or local equivalent).
Bank Details: Your local bank account information (e.g., IBAN, Routing Number, or Swift code) for receiving payouts.
Identity Verification: A digital copy of a government-issued ID (Passport or Driver’s License) and a mobile phone for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Step 1: Link or Create your Stripe Account
Log in to your Tour Finder Operator Dashboard.
Navigate to Settings > Distribution Channel.
3. Click the [Connect Stripe for marketplace] button.
- Existing Stripe Users: Enter your email to log in and authorize the connection to Tour Finder.
- New Users: Follow the onboarding prompts. Stripe will ask for your business type and personal details to verify your identity.
4. Once the process is complete, you will be automatically returned to Tour Finder. Your status will now display as "Connected."
Step 2: Special Setup for Tourmatic Operators (Direct Bookings)
If you use Tourmatic to manage Direct Bookings (bookings made through your own website or private payment links), an additional step is required to accept credit cards.
[!IMPORTANT]
Action Required: Because Direct Bookings are processed through your specific Tourmatic instance rather than the Tour Finder marketplace, you must link your Stripe account a second time within your Tourmatic Profile.
Open your Tourmatic Profile settings.
Locate the Financial section.
3. Click [Connect Stripe Account] to link your Stripe account again. This authorizes Tourmatic to use your Stripe credentials for your private, direct-to-consumer transactions.
💡 Why Use Stripe Connect?

- Automated Payouts: Funds are transferred to your bank account on a rolling schedule based on your country.

- Centralized Reporting: View both marketplace and direct booking revenue within a single Stripe Dashboard.
FAQs & Troubleshooting
Why is my account "Pending"? Stripe often requires additional verification (like a photo of your ID or a utility bill). Check your Stripe Dashboard or your email for any "Action Required" notifications.
What are the fees? Fees vary by country and card type (Domestic vs. International). You can view the specific rates for your region on the Stripe Global Pricing Page.
Can I use one Stripe account for multiple locations? Yes, but ensure your bank account matches the currency requirements of the country where your business is registered.
